# Sohaib Waheed

> Sohaib Waheed is the creator of the Paper-First Method (Paper. Pushback. Production.) and the founder of Zaltech AI, an AI product studio. He is an AI Product Architect who has shipped 20+ AI products, and a graduate of the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

Sohaib designs and builds AI products end to end: he decides what is worth building and how it is structured, then uses AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor) to build inside that structure. He is Expert-Vetted (top 1%) on Upwork with a 100% job success score, and part of the Toptal vetted network.

## The Paper-First Method

Everything he builds starts on paper. AI can write the code in minutes; it can't decide what's worth building. The method has three beats and seven steps, and is the process behind 25–30+ applications:

1. **Paper** (step 1): one page, pen not keyboard. The flow, the journey, the architecture. Where the AI sits, and where a human must say yes.
2. **Pushback** (steps 2–4): read the page out loud to Claude and make it disagree. Five questions, until the page is honest. Then decide the architecture and the stack.
3. **Production** (steps 5–7): a six-line brief becomes one build prompt per service. The AI builds inside the structure that was decided. Review like an architect, ship, and go back to paper.
